Jennifer's Comments:

At 8 months - January 26

I went to a dinner party the other night and there was debate about my age. The closest guess was 45.
Also, new hairstylist accused me of lying (yes, she was that straightforward) when I mentioned my grandkids and age. Her comment? "Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!"

I have decided to get a little "extra" Thermage around my jowl line and under my chin. When you start looking better, your vanity kicks in a little stronger. There will be more pictures of how that works, too.

At 5 1/2 Months - November 9

I think you can see for yourself what's happened. When you do this kind of thing, you wonder if you aren't just talking yourself into believing it's working, but all vanity aside, I think I'm looking pretty darn good! I will admit that I have cheated. I had two Fraxel treatments and I'm so impressed. This last photo is no makeup outside of some eye makeup, a little gloss and a touch of Clarin's highlighter here and there to balance my rosiness (Great stuff..comes in a little fluid stick with a brush)

The Fraxel is a miracle all its own. I can't recall when my skin has been this smooth, and no more brown spots. I've got super-sensitive skin so I was apprehensive at first.  Does it leave you pink? Yes. About 2 to 3 days of hot pink and then it calms down very quickly and the flaky-peely thing is done in about a week. Would I suggest going to a fancy party during the first 3-4 days after? No, but for sure you won't freak out anyone at work. There are some of my Fraxel pictures on the Fraxel page  Vivé la Thermage and her little sister Fraxel! And by the way, wish me Happy Birthday. I'll be 57 Thanksgiving Day.

At 4 Months - September

I feel like I'm at a bit of a slow-down right now. (And boy, do I need a new hairstyle!). I think I'm starting to get some firming in the lower cheek area. It's not as "chubby" or slack. I look back at the before photos and am continually surprised that I looked so droopy just a few months ago.

At 3 Months - August

I'm still really impressed with my skin texture changes and the lift that opens up my eyes.
I'm beginning to see the tightening and defining effects around my jawline. It's a good thing we made pictures because I adjust to how I look every day-like we all do. It's easier to be objective and really recognize the improvements when I have the progress in front of me. I tend to forget the heavy droop on my right eye (Kind of like the way we forget childbirth!) But wow...there it was. I don't miss it at all!

At 2 months - July

Okay, here I am at 2 months. (Yes, the lighting is different each time...they're working on that at the office.)
My face, and especially the right side, has lifted and tightened and I'm particularly happy with the lift of my right eyebrow (on your left). I'm noticing a change in the firmness of my skin overall and it just seems to look more alive. I have another 4 months to see my 6-month "final results".  This is exciting. By Christmas I may be a "girl" again!

Treatment Day - May

I'd been waiting for about a year and a half to get "Thermaged". I'm very conservative and not prone to jump at something when it first comes out. Obviously my wait paid off. When Yoomi sent me the photos I was ecstatic to see the immediate changes. My right brow has always been the lower one and as I get older, it gets lower! My primary objective in having Thermage was to get that droopy brow lifted.

To see this happen so quickly was beyond my greatest expectations. And when I saw how the entire right side of my face lifted, I knew I'd made the right decision.

Dr. Pilest will take more photos at monthly intervals so you get to see my progress.

How did it feel?

I did have a vicodin prior to the treatment, but skipped the numbing cream. During the entire treatment (600 pulses) I only felt about 10 little "hot spot" pulses. The other 590 were a piece of cake. They felt deeply warm, but nothing like I expected.

I had one teeny little bruise area under my chin, but none of the redness or swelling that I was told "might" happen. All in all it was a comfortable process and I wouldn't hesitate to assure anyone they needn't worry about it hurting. It just didn't.

After-effects

I met a girlfriend for lunch two days later whose first comment was "You look great!"
Two days ago I met another friend who asked if I'd lost weight - I haven't. And this from a man. You know how they never notice anything! Those are objective comments. From my own point of view, I am enjoying a tighter look and couldn't be more content with my decision to have Thermage.
